Iranian Journal of Urology had been published from 1994 to 2002. This publication was the first scientific journal in the field of urology in Persian and from 2003 it was substituted by its English version successor with the new name “Urology Journal”.

Iranian Journal of Urology was the official journal of Iranian Urological Association (IUA) and Urology and Nephrology Research Center (UNRC), and the latter was responsible for its publication since 1999.
